Mouth Cancer Screening

Mouth cancer screening can detect the initial signs of mouth cancer and potentially catch it at an early stage. Mouth cancer is most common in men over 50, but it can affect anyone at any age. Our dentists screen for cancer to put your mind at rest.

Smoking and heavy drinking both put you at a higher risk of developing mouth cancer, however it can present itself even in the healthiest of mouths. We recommend a regular mouth cancer screening as part of your preventative dental plan.

Screening includes a full check of the mouth, including the lips, gums and tongue. We take a comprehensive look at the entire mouth to check for any abnormalities that may require further investigation.

Your dentist or Dental Hygienist can advise you on lifestyle choices that may help reduce the risk of cancer developing in your mouth and benefit of your health and well-being.
