We apply dental crowns to restore a tooth that has become too damaged to function properly. They mimic the natural look and function of a tooth.

A crown is a cap that a dentist fits over a damaged tooth. Once fitted, it feels completely natural and functions like a normal tooth. Since dental crowns cover the surface of the tooth, they also help to protect your tooth structure from further damage.

Your dentist will assess the condition of your teeth and may recommend a dental crown if they feel it is likely to improve your smile, tooth function, or overall oral health.

A crown fitting takes place over multiple appointments. To start with, your dentist will take an impression or digital scan of your mouth and send it off to a registered dental laboratory, where a qualified dental technician will manufacture your bespoke dental crowns.

At your follow-up appointment, your dentist will fit your dental crown and fix it in place with a special adhesive.
