The most up-to-date advice from the British Dental Association is stating that we should rearrange all routine dental appointments; there should be no aerosol creating activity – for you this means we cannot pick up our drills, use the air or anything that may cause the virus to end up in the atmosphere. It also goes on to say, ‘to limit social contact, face-to-face contact should be kept to a minimum’.
We wanted to reassure you that even though we may need to postpone your checks ups, treatments and hygiene appointments for your own safety and that of our staff, we will be available to you for any severe emergency care over the next few weeks while the restrictions are in place. This is, of course, if the current government advice remains the same. We will be updating our answerphone messages and social media page if anything does indeed change.
The next few weeks will be extremely challenging and, for your convenience, we would like to reassure you that we intend to have a dentist available via the telephone during normal working hours.
Please telephone 07555 808424 with any severe dental concerns you may have.
For now, please do not visit the premises without telephoning us first. This arrangement will be in place until we are advised by the dental governing bodies it is safe for us to reopen our doors for non-urgent treatment. This is not a measure we would have ever thought necessary to undertake but for the safety of our patients this is what we must do.
Please keep yourselves and your families safe.
We offer care across a range of specialties and we will keep you informed of your patient’s treatment, encouraging your patient to return to your dental practice for continuing care and involving you in your patient’s treatment every step of the way.Read More
