Dr Kaival Patel qualified from the University of Manchester and promptly moved closer to home in Milton Keynes. He achieved The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and this was the start of his advancement in more complex dentistry.

Kaival has completed a Masters’ Degree in Dental Implantology, achieving a distinction, and is a member of numerous implant associations, including the ADI. He also recently had the honour of being a finalist in the 2015 National Dentistry Awards. This nomination was largely brought about by his caring and gentle approach and excellent patient feedback.

Kaival is also an experienced sedationist and is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry( SAAD) and provides a variety of anxiety-reducing techniques, including IV Sedation and has a dental phobia certification. Oxford House offers complimentary consultations for adults requiring IV Sedation, please give the team as much information as possible within the referral form to aid the process for the patient, for example, if the patient has a fear with the sound of drills the appointment can be arranged at a quiet period. The fee associated with IV Sedation is £220 per hour, and the treatment required would be chargeable additionally. This would all be discussed with the patient during the free consultation.

Kaival is very willing to teach and train, and has an open-door-policy for any dentists in the local area wishing to learn how to place dental implants. If, however, you are not interested in the surgical side of things but and prefer to restore the implants after placement, Kaival would be more than happy to assist your development there also. Just ask. Within the vast field of implant dentistry, Kaival has a further special interest in Cone Beam Computed Tomography, and has written a dissertation on whether CBCT is the radiographic modality of choice for dental implant planning.

On a personal note, Kaival was born in Northampton and moved to Milton Keynes shortly after. Kaival is a keen football fan and has a love for cricket. He also enjoys watching rugby when he gets a chance, which is a little less frequent now since the arrival of his son, Niam. If you get the opportunity, do pop in to Oxford House to say hello!

An experienced and fully qualified specialist Oral Surgeon. Omar completed his undergraduate dental qualification in 1999 and in 2002 he obtained his MSc in oral surgery from the University of Manchester. Omar has worked in various oral & maxillofacial units in England and has gathered immense experience in various aspects of Oral Surgery, maxillofacial trauma and dental Implantology.

Omar is a member and fellow of both the Royal college of surgeons of England & Ireland, and is a General Dental Council Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery.

He has been practicing oral & maxillofacial surgery in secondary healthcare and oral surgery in private sector since 2002 and is currently working as specialist in oral & maxillofacial surgery at Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Trusts, and as specialist Oral Surgeon & Implant Surgeon in the private sector.

Omar is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, British Dental Association, and Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.

Dr Amit Birdi

Dental Implant Surgeon

Graduating from Barts and The London Dental School in 2008, Amit began a career in Dentistry in Surrey and then Oxfordshire. He is a recent addition to our team here at Oxford House Dental Practice.

With a strong ethos in postgraduate studies, Amit completed his examinations for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons. He obtained a certificate in 2011 from the year-long course in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry lead by a renowned expert in the field, Dr Christopher Orr.

Developing a keen interest in dental implants, Amit has gained a postgraduate certificate in Dental Implantology from the University of Warwick in 2012 and is currently undertaking his Masters in Clinical Dentistry qualification in dental implantology from the City of London Dental School. Amit has been placing dental implants in his previous post in Oxfordshire and here at Oxford House and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology.

If you would like to know more about our fee structure then please email kaivalpatel@mkdentist.co.uk but as a rule of thumb, we charge approximately £2,000 for a simple dental implant, £100 for a CBCT scan if required.

Specialist in Periodontology

Dr Kruti Desai

BDS, MJDF, MClindent Periodontics, MPerio RCS (Ed) 2016, EFP accreditation, Specialist in Periodontology

Kruti graduated from Kings College London ( BDS ) in 2011 before completing her vocational training. She has worked in both general practice and in hospital at the maxillofacial unit at John Radcliffe Hospital. During this time she went on to attain her Diploma of the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Kruti then went on to complete her extensive three year Periodontology Specialist training at the world renowned Eastman Dental Hospital. She is passionate about periodontology and the important role it plays in the oral and general health of patients and is committed to providing high quality treatment and wants all her patients to feel happy and confident with their teeth and gums. Her practice is now limited to periodontology and implants and continues to develop her skills further. Furthermore, outside of dentistry she has a passion for hatha yoga, art and she loves.

Endodontics

Dr Shreena Patel

BDS (Hons) MJDF RCS (Eng) MSc (Endodontics)

Shreena qualified from Manchester in 2008 and moved to Milton Keynes shortly after. Following a stint in Australia where Shreena gained a fantastic insight into specialist dentistry down-under, Shreena returned back to the UK and promptly gained the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Shreena’s passion, however, was within the world of endodontics and she embarked on the challenging journey of an Masters’ degree in Endodontic practice at the University of London. Shreena completed her Masters’ and was awarded a Merit for her degree. When she is not practicing dentistry she has an interest in gastronomy and enjoys cooking and baking. She also enjoys listening to and playing the piano.

Dr Corneliu Gherasim

Armed with a Zeiss microscrope, Corneliu is an experienced Endodontist focused on high quality treatments and patient experience. He received his 3-year full time MSc in Endodontology and Dentistry Research from Universidad International de Catalonia Barcelona, Spain in 2016 and graduated with his BDS in 2004 from the Faculty of Dentistry Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bucharest.

He is a highly skilled clinician, particularly when it comes to difficult endodontic manoeuvres as root canal retreatments or post-endodontic direct adhesive reconstructions.

Corneliu places particular emphasis on accurate diagnosis to facilitate appropriate treatment decisions. That is why one of his research interest and areas of expertise is the use of CBCT (Cone beam computed tomography) as a valuable tool for diagnosing and managing endodontic problems.

He is actively engaged in the academic development of Endodontology and holds a lecturer position at Universidad International de Catalonia and is a member of the British Endodontics Society. He very much enjoys the sessions of the Langham study group.

On a personal level, Corneliu is the proud father of an 8-year-old and married to Laura.  He lives is London and speaks four languages so he very much enjoys the cultural diversity the city has to offer.  In his spare time Corneliu plays the electric guitar and his door is always open for new members to join his amateur group.
